Since 1972, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee, Inc. has been providing
nutritional assistance and appropriate supportive services to individuals in their homes or in centers throughout Manatee County to help them continue living independently.

When there is a need, Meals on Wheels PLUS makes it a goal to fill that
need. Therefore, over the years, many essential services have been
added:

• Nutrition
• Health Monitoring
• Child Day Care Meals
• Emergency Aid Assistance
• Emergency Heat and Energy Assistance
• Transportation
• Adult Day Care
• Outreach Services
• Volunteer Programs
• Food Bank for Families and Infants
• Senior Activity Center

Although receiving some operating funds from local and Federal governing
bodies, over 60 percent of the Meals on Wheels PLUS funds needed must be
raised through local donations, grants and fund raising projects.

What is a Virtual Food Drive?

A Virtual Food Drive is a safe, secure, simple method to raise funds to benefit those who receive food baskets from the Food Bank of Manatee, operated by Meals on Wheels PLUS. 

You select the items you want to donate, and we purchase the food at our cost, which is significantly lower than retail, since we purchase in bulk quantities.
